I have been directing choirs for more than 30 years, starting in my teens by helping out with younger pupils. In 1995, I was offered a place with the Northamptonshire Youth Choir and my passion for choral singing was born. I studied flute at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama (now the Royal Scottish Conservatoire) and, whilst there, had the opportunity to sing with the National Youth Choir of Scotland. Towards the end of college, I took on my first professional roles as a choral conductor with the Dalgarno Singers and Largs Variations.
